SHIPPING POLICY

SCOPE
This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed on Discount Fragrances ("Discount Fragrances," "we," "us," "our") for delivery within Canada. We do not currently ship outside of Canada.
ORDER PROCESSING AND CUT-OFF TIME
Orders placed before 2:00 PM MST (Edmonton time) / 4:00 PM EST (Toronto time) on a business day will begin processing the same day. Orders placed after the cut-off time will begin processing on the next business day.
Order processing days: Monday through Thursday.
Carrier pickup days: Monday through Thursday only. Orders are not picked up by our carriers on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, or statutory holidays. Orders placed on Thursday after 2:00 PM MST through Sunday will be shipped out on the following Monday.
Orders typically require up to 2 business days for processing prior to carrier pickup.
SHIPPING CARRIERS AND DELIVERY DAYS
Orders are shipped using Canada Post, UPS, Intelcom, and/or other trusted carriers selected at our discretion based on destination, package characteristics, and service availability.
Carrier delivery days: Carriers deliver Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays. Weekend delivery is not standard but may occasionally occur depending on the carrier and destination.
SHIPPING RATES
Shipping fees are calculated as follows:
- Free Standard Shipping: Available on orders with a subtotal of $129 CAD or more, regardless of whether any coupon codes are applied.
- Flat Rate Shipping: $9.95 CAD on orders with a subtotal below $129 CAD.
All shipping charges are displayed at checkout prior to order completion.
SHIPPING PROTECTION (OPTIONAL ADD-ON)
At checkout, customers may opt in to Shipping Protection for an additional $0.99 CAD. This is an optional service. If you do not add Shipping Protection at checkout, your order will not be covered.
What Shipping Protection covers:
- Loss of package while in transit
- Damage to package or contents caused during transit
- Theft of package before it is marked delivered by the carrier
What Shipping Protection does NOT cover:
- Packages stolen after being marked delivered by the carrier (porch theft)
- Packages refused or unclaimed by the customer
- Delivery issues caused by incorrect or incomplete address information provided by the customer
- Damage that occurs after the package is received
How to file a claim:
To file a claim, email info@discountfragrances.ca within 14 days of the delivery date (or expected delivery date for lost packages). Claims submitted after 14 days may not be eligible. Please include:
- Your order number
- A clear photo of the shipping label
- A clear photo of the shipping box (showing any external damage)
- A clear photo of the product
- A clear photo of any damage to the product
- A clear photo of the barcode on the product
Resolution: Once a claim is approved, you will be offered either a replacement (subject to stock availability) or a full refund of the affected item(s). The choice is yours.
ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMES
Most orders are delivered within 1 to 5 business days after shipment, in addition to processing time. Delivery timelines are estimates only and may be affected by factors outside our control, including but not limited to:
- Weekends and statutory holidays
- Carrier operational delays
- Weather events
- Service disruptions
- Remote-area delivery constraints
Discount Fragrances does not guarantee delivery by a specific date unless expressly stated in writing by us.
IF YOUR ORDER HAS NOT ARRIVED
If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery window, please follow these steps:
- Check your tracking link. Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number by email. Check the tracking link for the most current status of your package.
- Allow extra time. Packages can occasionally show "delivered" but actually arrive later the same day, or may be temporarily delayed by the carrier due to weather, volume, or other operational issues.
- If the carrier shows the package as delivered but you have not received it, please check with neighbors, building reception, mailroom, or any alternative delivery locations the carrier may have used. If you still cannot locate the package, email us with your order number and we will assist.
- If the next day the tracking status has not changed and no package has arrived, please contact us. Email info@discountfragrances.ca with your order number, and we will contact the carrier on your behalf to investigate the status of your shipment.
SHIPPING OF ALCOHOL-BASED LIQUIDS
Fragrances are alcohol-based liquids and are subject to carrier and transportation regulations. Certain shipping restrictions may apply, including ground-only transport and regional limitations.
Delivery timelines may vary due to regulatory requirements, carrier handling procedures, or transportation safety standards. Delays related to these conditions are not considered shipping errors and do not qualify for refunds, replacements, or cancellations.
All orders are packaged in accordance with applicable carrier and transportation regulations.
TRACKING AND DELIVERY CONFIRMATION
Where available, shipment tracking information will be emailed to the customer once the order has shipped. Delivery is deemed completed when the carrier confirms delivery to the address provided at checkout.
ADDRESS ACCURACY
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information at checkout. Discount Fragrances is not responsible for delivery issues, delays, or losses arising from inaccurate or incomplete address details provided by the customer.
OUT-OF-STOCK ITEMS
Inventory availability may change. If any product becomes unavailable after an order is placed:
- We will notify you by email
- We will issue a full refund for the unavailable product(s)
If an order contains multiple items and one or more items are unavailable, we will ship the remaining available items and refund the unavailable item(s). This ensures you are only charged for items shipped.
REFUSED, UNDELIVERABLE, OR UNCLAIMED SHIPMENTS
If an order is returned to Discount Fragrances due to customer error or inaction, including but not limited to:
- An incorrect or incomplete shipping address
- Refusal of delivery
- Failure to receive or collect the package
- Failure to respond to carrier delivery attempts
The customer will be responsible for all shipping costs associated with the order. If the original order qualified for free shipping, two-way shipping costs will be deducted from any applicable refund.
SHIPPING CHARGES AND NON-REFUNDABILITY
Shipping charges, including flat-rate shipping fees and Shipping Protection fees, are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or where Discount Fragrances determines, in its sole discretion, that a refund of shipping is appropriate due to an error attributable to us.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Shipping Policy from time to time. The version posted on our website at the time of your purchase will apply to your order unless otherwise required by law.
